Label Review.

Previously Unreleased live recordings from Peter Hook & The Light performing the Joy Division classic and seminal album ‘Unknown Pleasures’. Recorded at Leeds Cockpit in 2012 it comprises ‘Unknown Pleasures’ in its entirety plus other favorites such as “Transmission, Love Will Tear Us Apart and Ceremony”.

Our Overview.

Following his departure from New Order around 2007, ‘Hooky’ set about forming a new band initially for a on-off performance in 2010 to play Joy Division’s debut album ‘Unknown Pleasures’. It was such a rousing success, he kept the project alive and now seven years down the road they have wowed audiences around the world and every tour sees them tackle whole albums from Joy Division and New Order’s catalogues. The band also features Peter’s son Jack on additional bass!

We at Keymailrecords were lucky enough to catch one of his shows in 2014 in Chicago where the band were highlighting New Order’s two mid-80s albums ‘Low Life’ and ‘Brotherhood’. Billy Corgan stepped up to sing ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ for the encore.
