Our Overview.

The Adventurers a pop/rock group with a folk music sound formed in Belfast 1984; Terry Sharpe, Pat Gribben, Eileen Gribben, Gerard Murphy, Tony Ayre and Paul Crowder and performed their first show in London the same year. They were taken on by the then upcoming manager Simon Fuller and signed to Chrysalis Records and released their first single in the same year and their debut album a year later.

The band seemed to stay low for a few years after their initial acclaim and later signed to Elektra Records, where after promotion and heavy airplay, their new single ‘Broken Land’ become their first significant hit was followed up by the album ‘Sea of Love’ and remained in the charts for 30 weeks. The follow up singles ‘Drowning in the Sea of Love’ and ‘One Step from heaven’ failed to reach as highly though the album was certified Silver.

After the band released their next album “Trading Secrets with the Moon, the band drifted into obscurity. So for all The Adventurers fans this is a great chance to get your hands on ‘Sea of Love’ with 8 bonus tracks.
