Label Review.
On the 20th May 2015 at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, California, the band performed the entire Sticky Fingers album live in concert for the first and so far only time in their career. The show celebrated the reissue of the Sticky Fingers album and was the opening night of The Rolling Stones Zip Code Tour of North America that would run over the next two months. Includes other tracks.
Our Overview.
The Rolling Stones only tour of 2015 was a short North American jaunt called “The Zip Code Tour”. At the opening show they played all of their 1971 album ‘Sticky Fingers’ in its entirety and they are now releasing the gig as part of their ‘From The Vault’ series of official live releases.
‘Sticky Fingers’ itself was the first album they released on their own label after leaving Decca, the label who gave them their break and released their classic 60s sides. The band wanted more control over their product and the ‘Sticky Fingers’ is the first album they own the rights to along with everything else after. The record is part of an amazing four album run which started with ‘Beggars Banquet’ and ended with ‘Exile On Main Street’ taking in ‘Let It Bleed’ along the way. Although they toured frequently during the time of the albums release they never performed the whole album in one set which they finally did in 2015.
